# disable

> Disable Entire in a repository. Hooks stay installed but exit silently, so session capture stops while existing session data is preserved.

Disable Entire in a repository. Hooks stay installed but exit silently, so session capture stops while existing session data is preserved. Commands show a disabled message.

entire disable [flags]
```

| Flag | Description |
| - | - |
| `--force` | Skip confirmation prompt (use with `--uninstall`) |
| `--local` | Update `.entire/settings.local.json`. This is the default. |
| `--project` | Update `.entire/settings.json` instead of `.entire/settings.local.json` |
| `--uninstall` | Completely remove Entire from this repository: `.entire/`, Git hooks, agent hooks, session state, and shadow branches |

> [!NOTE]
>
> Disabling Entire does not delete your session history. You can re-enable at any time with `entire enable`. Use `--uninstall` to completely remove Entire from the repository.
