# Global Flags

> Shared flags and environment variables, plus the root-only version flag.

These flags are available on the root command and on every subcommand:

| Flag | Description |
| - | - |
| `--context NAME` | Act as this saved login for this command only, instead of the active context. It propagates to the Git and agent processes the command spawns. Run [`entire auth contexts`](/cli-reference/auth#auth-contexts) to list the names. |
| `--help`, `-h` | Show help for `entire` or any subcommand |

```bash theme={null}
# Run one command as another saved login
entire --context staging activity
```

`--context` does not change the active context. To switch it persistently, use [`entire auth switch`](/cli-reference/auth#auth-switch). Entire passes the selection to child processes through `ENTIRE_CONTEXT`, so a spawned `git clone` or agent uses the same login. An unknown context name is rejected before any child runs.

`--context` does not reach plugin commands such as [`entire investigate`](/cli-reference/investigate) or [`entire graph`](/cli-reference/graph). Set `ENTIRE_CONTEXT` in the environment for those.

## Version Flag

`--version` (`-v`) is available only on the root command. Use `entire --version` or [`entire version`](/cli-reference/version) to show build information.

## Environment Variables

| Variable | Description |
| - | - |
| `ACCESSIBLE` | Set to any value to enable accessibility mode. Entire uses simpler text prompts instead of interactive terminal UI, which works better with screen readers. |
| `ENTIRE_CONTEXT` | Act as this saved login for a shell or a single Git operation. The environment-variable equivalent of `--context`. |

```bash theme={null}
# Use a saved login for one Git operation
ENTIRE_CONTEXT=staging git push
# Use simpler static output for screen readers
ACCESSIBLE=1 entire activity
```

See [Logging and Diagnostics](/guides/configuration/logging-and-diagnostics.md) for the variables that control log level and diagnostics.
