# Connect a CI Vendor

> Install a CI plugin on an Entire project and choose which repositories it can access.

Start in your CI vendor's product to connect it to Entire. You need permission to manage the Entire project where you want to install the plugin.

## Install the Plugin

1. To make sure the plugin works as expected, enable Trails on your repository. Open the repository's **Settings** tab, go to **General**, and turn on **Trails** under **Workflow**.

2. Once that is done, go to **Projects**, select the project in which you want to enable plugins, then click on **Plugins**.

3. Choose which vendor plugin you want to add, click on **Install**, and choose the repositories you want to install the plugin on.

4. Next, you will be routed to the vendor's site ([Buildkite](https://buildkite.com/organizations/~/repository-providers) or [Depot](https://depot.dev/orgs/_/settings/ci/general)) to install it from their end. Once that is done, click **Install** again and the plugin will now be installed on your chosen repository.

5. Now whenever you push a change to a Trail, you will see the CI results in the plugin's line under **Gates**. This applies to both repositories hosted on Entire and GitHub mirrors.

## Remove Access

You can remove a repository from the plugin installation in Entire or uninstall the plugin from the project. Removing a repository revokes the plugin's access to that repository while uninstalling revokes access for the whole installation.

Review the plugin's gate under **Settings** and then **Gates** when you remove an installation. Update or remove requirements for builds that can no longer report results.
