Git

Create branch at a commit

If the target ref is in the Entire-owned namespace (refs/heads/entire/native/*) and this placement does not own it, the write is forwarded to the owning placement and applied there. Read-your-writes then lags replication by seconds: a read against this placement immediately afterwards may not show the new tip. A forwarded write is an ordinary push at the owner, so a namespace branch marked server-side-merge-only cannot be merged through this placement and must be merged from the owner cell.
